When the name Monique Lhuillier comes to mind—we will usually just think of elegant, regal gowns. During her Spring/Summer 2015 show we saw a move focusing more towards daywear.
The designer showcased very a beautiful collection filled with interesting cellophane-like silks and shimmery fabrics. Lavender, mint, blush, peach, and soft shades of blue made way down the runway—the color scheme created the illusion of the perfect fairytale.
The iridescent designs revealed the playful side of Lhuillier, which is very refreshing to see since her Fall/Winter 2014 Collection featured more black and jewel toned frocks.
The show concluded with the most exquisite, airy dresses that Lhuillier is most famous for. She used intricate beaded detailing on a variety of gowns, including a ravishing lavender tulle dress with a plunged neckline.
From the structured separates to the flowing dresses, Lhuillier definitely did not disappoint. By far this is one of the designer’s most memorable collections.
