After the wrath of Hurricane Sandy on the Northeast, the charitable response has been great, but the need for relief still remains for many who are still homeless. RE/CREATE is a new charitable platform which allows creators to give back. As a non-for-profit division of CREATE THE GROUP, they are assisting with the ongoing Hurricane Sandy relief by recruiting famous creators to donate personal and one-of-a-kind pieces for auction.
100% of the proceeds from the bids and donations will support the Hurricane Sandy relief efforts of New York City Cares. Founded in the late-80s, New York City Cares is now the city’s largest volunteer organization, running programs for 1,300 nonprofits, publics schools and city agencies.
Participants donating auction items include Sean Avery, Catherine Baba, Christopher Bailey, Andre Balazs, Bergdorf Goodman, Sarah Burton, Scott Campbell, Roman Coppola, Thomas Dozol, Dunhill, Karen Elson, Faile, Tom Ford, Nicola Formichetti, James Gardner, Frida Giannini, Selena Gomez, Ben Gorham, Jefferson Hack, Michelle Harper, Anne Hathaway, Ali Hewson, H.S.H.
